Picking a Date to Start Something New

Business launch, griha pravesh, or a new job — what makes a date favourable.

A muhurat is a window where the planetary conditions support the specific thing you are starting. It does not guarantee success; it removes avoidable friction.

The five components

Tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and karana together make the panchang. A workable muhurat needs these to be favourable for your particular activity — the date that suits a wedding is not the date that suits a business launch.

Your chart still matters

A universally auspicious date can be a poor date for you if it falls in a difficult dasha or activates a weak house in your chart. Muhurat selection should always be checked against the individual chart, which is why generic calendar dates are only a starting point.
